My girlfriend and I are looking for another house to rent and upon looking, we needed to set guide lines about what are needs and wants in a house we wish to rent. Needs are requirements, wants are negotiable for the right house. I am not a rich man and I can imagine we will be moving for the next few years so I will refer back to this list so we don't need to do it again. And for those folks out there, this is a nice list to get you started.
NEEDS
- Two bedrooms - One master and one computer room. Sure is amazing, 10 years ago people didn't need a computer room and now they need it.
- Allow pets - We have a dog named Isabella (Husky mix)
- Safe place with very little crime
- Needs to be below $800.00.
- Needs washer and dryer hookups.
- Must include major kitchen appliances
- Must have High Speed Internet available in the area
WANTS
- A Garage
- A yard - preferably a fenced yard for our dog.
- Two Bathrooms
- Within a 30 minute commute (willing to stretch)
- Like to have room for eating area (we currently eat at a bar in the house)
- Not on a busy road.
- lawn maintenance would be nice
- City water, no egg water please!
- A kitchen pantry, and plenty of kitchen cabinets
- Eco-friendly (energy saving measures)
I imagine that we will be adding to this list until we actually buy a house, but for right now we are ready for another place.
